New to Skiing/Snowboarding? Everything you need to know is right here.
Welcome to this amazing sport. So where do we start?
Once the trip is booked we need to think about the correct clothing and accessories to shield us from the high altitude and extreme temperatures.

Here at Captains Cabin we have an extensive range of base layers, mid layers and outer layers to build up the perfect layering system so you can have fun while in the mountains, no matter what the weather throws at you.

Essential Check List
1. Jacket and Trousers/Salopettes. Outer layer to protect you from the wind and snow. You may consider Hire for your first time especially ideal for growing children. Prices
2. Base layer/Thermals. For the first layer next to the skin it is essential that this has a high moisture wicking performance and thermal qualities. Prices
3. Roll Neck/Fleece. Used as the mid layer. A cotton rollneck or a more breathable micro fleece would be ideal. Prices
4. Gloves/Mitts. Warm, highly water resistant or waterproof are essential. Mitts often will be warmer than gloves as fingers are less exposed ideal for small children.
